Lincoln Minerals is ramping up its copper exploration program, aiming to capitalise on soaring global demand for the metal, with the Minbrie Project on South Australia’s Eyre Peninsula at the heart of its strategy.
The ASX-listed explorer has completed a thorough review of historic drill core at Minbrie, identifying widespread copper and base metal mineralisation, particularly at the Eagle Ridge prospect.
“Positioning ourselves as a discovery-focused copper company in a market where demand is set to grow faster than supply is exciting,” Lincoln Minerals chief executive officer Chris Wilcox said. “With a clear focus on progressing exploration at the Minbrie discovery, we have commenced a search for a complimentary copper project.”
Lincoln plans its first dedicated base metals drill program in the first half of 2026, guided by the results of the re-assay and relogging of historic core. Eagle Ridge, which contains approximately 1.7km of untested strike, is a priority target. The Southern Eyre Project will also undergo geological mapping and surface geochemistry to define additional high-potential copper targets.
While copper is the focus, Lincoln is advancing selected non-core assets. At the Kookaburra Gully graphite project, the company is working with SCN Canada to explore using graphite in small modular nuclear reactors, where the material commands a significant premium. Separately, an memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Revera Energy, backed by global investment firm Carlyle, aims to explore pathways to commercialise Lincoln’s Eyre magnetite project.
“Ensuring we engage positively with our stakeholders, particularly the primary producers our tenements cover, is critical to Lincoln’s long-term success,” Wilcox said. “We continue to progress exploration approvals for Minbrie and refine targets for our upcoming drill program.”
Investors and industry observers can hear more about Lincoln’s strategy during a webinar hosted by Wilcox on Monday, February 23, 2026, at 11am AEDT.
