Vita gets the green light for Ninnis

Vita Resources has cleared a key regulatory hurdle to kick-start exploration at its Ninnis gold project, securing approval for its maiden drilling campaign in one of Western Australia’s most prolific gold regions.

The approval enables the ASX-listed explorer to begin first-pass exploration at Ninnis, an early-stage gold project located about 30km west of Laverton in the Northern Goldfields. The region hosts multiple multi-million-ounce gold deposits and remains a focus for both producers and explorers.

With the program of work (PoW) approval now in hand, Vita plans to complete approximately 1200 auger drill holes, followed by assaying and a detailed geochemical review to refine targets and guide follow-up work. Drilling contractor GYRO Drilling has been appointed, with mobilisation scheduled for early March.

The Ninnis project was secured in November 2025 through Vita’s acquisition of Muskwood and covers 25 square kilometres of largely underexplored ground. Importantly, the tenement sits just 6km north of Genesis Minerals’ Mount Morgans gold mining centre, highlighting its strategic location within a world-class gold corridor.

“Historical exploration consistently pointed to the strong potential of the Ninnis Project, as did our independent expert’s report, which mentioned newly identified gold-in-soil anomalies,” Vita Resources non-executive chair Gavin Rutherford said.

“As a result of the successful PoW granting and necessary access permissions in place, we are pleased to commence exploration at the Ninnis project so soon after securing ownership and access to this exciting asset.”

Rutherford said the Ninnis project is yet to benefit from larger-scale, modern exploration.

“As such, we will commence exploration with an auger geochemistry programme, which is a fast, accurate and cost-effective method to provide Vita with direction on the next steps forward,” he said.

Ninnis lies close to major gold operations including Granny Smith, Sunrise Dam and projects held by Magnetic Resources. The project shares similar geology to Mount Morgans, including mafic rocks, banded iron formations and the Ninnis Shear, offering compelling exploration upside as modern techniques are applied for the first time.
