Magmatic Resources has strengthened its technical leadership with the appointment of Craig Feebrey as chief technical adviser.
Feebrey, a geologist with more than 30 years of global exploration experience, brings a combination of international expertise and deep local knowledge to Magmatic.
He spent the past decade as executive vice president and chief exploration officer at OceanaGold Corporation, leading global exploration programs across Australia, Asia-Pacific and the Americas.
Significantly for Magmatic, Feebrey has direct experience with the company’s key assets, having previously served as vice president exploration for Gold Fields in Australasia, overseeing copper-gold projects in New South Wales that now form part of Magmatic’s NSW portfolio. He also brings extensive experience from Western Australia’s Goldfields region, directly relevant to Magmatic’s Weebo gold project.
In his new role, Feebrey will provide strategic and technical guidance across Magmatic’s exploration portfolio, focusing on exploration strategy, target generation, program evaluation, and project prioritisation.
“Craig’s deep technical and firsthand knowledge of Magmatic’s New South Wales copper-gold projects and the Western Australian Goldfields region will enhance our technical team’s ability to unlock value across our project portfolio,” Magmatic Resources managing director David Richardson said.
“Combined with his global experience leading exploration programs for major, mid-tier and junior companies, this makes him uniquely qualified for this role.”
Feebrey’s appointment underscores Magmatic’s ambition to accelerate exploration and discovery across its high-potential NSW and WA projects, leveraging leadership with local insight and global experience to maximise value for shareholders.
