Kali Metals has launched its first drilling program at the Marble Bar gold project, targeting high-grade gold in one of the Pilbara’s emerging exploration hotspots.
All approvals are now in place, with the program of works (PoW) reviewed by the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions (DBCA).
Kali confirmed that DBCA and Department of Mines, Petroleum and Exploration (DMPE) recommendations have been fulfilled, enabling the Phase I drill program. The drill contractor arrived on site on November 25, with drilling starting two days later.
Phase I will involve 1000–1500m of shallow drilling, testing at-surface gold mineralisation and the potential for extensions down dip and along parallel zones. First results are expected within three to four weeks, providing an early indication of the project’s promising mineralisation.
The program is centred on three high-priority prospects, Tiger, Sherman and Churchill, which were recently defined through detailed mapping and rock chip sampling. Kali reported average rock chip grades of 2.2 grams tonne (g/t) across the 3km strike length, with standout samples from the Sherman prospect returning up to 87.9g/t gold.
The Marble Bar project sits approximately 10km east of Marble Bar and more than 10km north of the Klondyke gold project, forming part of a developing gold corridor in the eastern Pilbara.
Heritage surveys were completed earlier this year, and the PoW lodged with the DDMPE in August has now been fully approved.
With drilling underway, Kali Metals is transitioning quickly from preparation to discovery, advancing its search for high-grade gold across one of Western Australia’s most prospective greenstone belts.
