Argent Minerals is gearing up for a major drilling campaign across its Kempfield silver project and Trunkey Creek gold project in New South Wales’ Lachlan Orogen.
The program will cover up to 3200 m of drilling, targeting both precious and base metals. High-priority zones include Kempfield Main Zone, Kempfield NW, Kempfield IP zones and the Trunkey Creek, Henry, and Golden Wattle Prospects.
A maiden program at Trunkey Creek will focus on a 4.7 km gold corridor identified from surface geochemical anomalies and historical workings.
The campaign involves over 45 reverse circulation (RC) and diamond drill holes (DDH) to test extensions of known mineralisation. While gold and silver remain the main targets, copper, lead, and zinc will also be assessed.
Drilling is scheduled to start in late November 2025, subject to approvals and contractor mobilisation, and will continue into 2026.
“This upcoming drilling program represents one of the most comprehensive exploration initiatives undertaken by Argent in recent years,” Argent Minerals managing director Pedro Kastellorizos said.
“By systematically targeting high-priority zones at Kempfield, including newly defined targets like Sugarloaf Hill, and expanding our exploration into Trunkey Creek’s 4.7 km gold corridor, Argent continues to build momentum and news flow across our Lachlan Orogen portfolio.”
“Kempfield already hosts a significant silver-polymetallic resource, and this program is designed to expand that resource base, while advancing our understanding of the mineralisation at Trunkey Creek.”
With drilling poised to unlock new gold and silver discoveries, Argent is ramping up its presence in one of NSW’s most prospective mineral regions.
