Kempfield drilling marks milestone for Argent

Argent Minerals has completed diamond drilling over Lode 200 at its Kempfield silver-polymetallic project in New South Wales, successfully reaching a target depth of 320.7m.

The latest hole, AKDD210, was collared 120m along strike from AKDD208, which previously intersected extensive high-grade silver–base metal mineralisation from near-surface. All drill samples have been dispatched to ALS Laboratories in Orange under priority status, with assay results pending.

Argent has also received metallurgical core from AKDD208 and AKDD209 from Auralia Metallurgy, enabling new Heap Leach and CIL/flotation testwork to soon begin. The company thanked Chief Drilling for safely completing the program.

The Kempfield project continues to be a major focus for Argent, with the deposit recently reported as Australia’s second-largest underdeveloped silver resource, totalling 63.7 million tonnes at 69.75 grams per tonne silver equivalent, or 142.8 million ounces of silver, including 65.8 million ounces of contained silver.

“The demand [for silver] is extremely strong, particularly from the green energy sector and emerging economies that are transitioning towards more sustainable energy solutions,” Argent Minerals managing director and chief executive officer Pedro Kastellorizos said. “We can’t see silver slowing down anytime soon.

“For exploration and development programs, this has enabled many in the sector to accelerate their programs.

“Investors are taking more notice of silver companies, and this momentum is creating opportunities for Argent and others to raise capital.”

That investor interest was evident in Argent’s recent $4.85 million oversubscribed placement, designed to accelerate drilling and exploration at Kempfield and support upcoming pre-development studies.

“The placement attracted sophisticated and professional investors seeking exposure to silver amid these historically high prices,” Kastellorizos said.

With drilling complete and testwork underway, Argent is positioning Kempfield as a standout silver-polymetallic project in Australia’s clean energy transition story.
