The future of mining is here

WA Mining

The Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre is abuzz with activity as final preparations are underway for the 2025 WA Mining Conference and Exhibition (WA Mining), which opens its doors to thousands of industry professionals tomorrow, Wednesday October 8.

With the exhibition floor taking shape and conference spaces ready, the event promises to be one of the state’s most important mining gatherings this year. Running over two days, WA Mining 2025 will bring together decision-makers, operators, innovators and suppliers from across Western Australia’s mining and mining equipment, technology, and services (METS) sectors.

This year’s expanded program explores pressing industry themes such as automation, decarbonisation, data, safety and workforce transformation. Attendees can expect a mix of practical operational insights alongside discussions on long-term strategy.

A highlight of 2025 is a new official partnership with the Association of Mining and Exploration Companies (AMEC), reinforcing WA Mining’s reputation as a platform for strategic dialogue and actionable outcomes across the sector.

“With so much happening in WA resources at the moment, the event is a real opportunity for industry to come together to not only discuss the challenges ahead but celebrate the incredible work that is happening on the ground,” AMEC chief executive officer Warren Pearce said.

The conference program features more than 60 expert speakers, including Western Australian Mines and Petroleum Minister David Michael, Oracle director of customer strategy Michael Simms, Industry Capability Network national climate director Dr Vanessa Rauland, as well as leaders from Deloitte Cyber, Lifeline WA, and the Chamber of Minerals and Energy of Western Australia.

Meanwhile, the exhibition floor will host more than 150 companies presenting solutions across equipment, digital systems, process optimisation and sustainability. Many exhibitors will deliver live demonstrations, offering attendees insights into real-world mining challenges.

Attendees still have the opportunity to upgrade their tickets to access keynote presentations, panel discussions, and networking events, including the highly anticipated Welcome Drinks on Wednesday evening.

WA Mining 2025 is easily accessible, with ample parking and public transport options ensuring a smooth journey to the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre.

WA Mining 2025 will get underway on Wednesday at 10:00am (AWST). Registration and ticket upgrades remain open.
