Lincoln confirms 7km multi-metal system at Minbrie

Lincoln Minerals has confirmed a large-scale, continuous copper, zinc, lead and silver sulphide system extending over 7km of strike at its Minbrie project on South Australia’s Eyre Peninsula, following a round of laboratory assays.

The company re-assayed historic drill core from Centrex Metals’ 2011 campaign, which initially targeted iron ore but overlooked the base metal potential beneath banded iron formation units.

From 172 core samples across seven drill holes in the northern Minbrie area, multiple sulphide-rich zones were identified, with mineralisation remaining open in all directions.

“These results confirm that Minbrie hosts a continuous, multi-metal sulphide system stretching over 7km, which remains open in multiple directions,” Lincoln Minerals chief executive officer Jonathon Trewartha said.

“By re-assaying the historic core, we’ve unlocked significant copper, zinc, lead, and silver potential at minimal cost and in rapid time.

“This positions Minbrie as a potential large-scale multi-metal discovery in an underexplored district, giving us a clear runway to target thicker, higher-grade zones as we move into our high-impact drilling program next quarter.”

New assays include intersections such as 0.3m at 0.18 per cent copper, 2 per cent zinc and 4.6 grams per tonne (g/t) silver from 451m in hole BUDD100, and 0.7m at 3.1 per cent zinc and 0.46 per cent lead from 202m in hole BUDD179.

These results complement previously reported intercepts, including 29.5m at 0.8 per cent copper, 7.5 per cent lead, 1.9 per cent zinc and 9g/t silver from hole BUDD192, with higher-grade intervals such as 1m at 4.8 per cent copper, 31 per cent lead, 3.1 per cent zinc and 36g/t silver.

The latest results complete the northern Minbrie assay program and significantly advance the geological model for the project.

With assays confirming strong continuity with earlier discovery intercepts, Lincoln is now preparing for a maiden drill program in the fourth quarter of 2025.
