Lincoln inks agreement to explore Jungle Dam

Lincoln Minerals has signed a Native Title mining agreement with Traditional Owners, paving the way for exploration at its Jungle Dam uranium prospect in South Australia.

The agreement with the Gawler Ranges Aboriginal Corporation, which grants Lincoln access to exploration licence (EL) 5942, has been formally submitted to the South Australian Department for Energy and Mining for registration.

“Finalising this agreement marks a major milestone for our exploration efforts at Jungle Dam,” Lincoln Minerals chief executive officer Jonathon Trewartha said.

“We are pleased to be working in respectful partnership with the Gawler Ranges Aboriginal Corporation as we advance exploration in this highly prospective area.

“While our work at Jungle Dam is in its early stages, we are committed to building a long-term, mutually beneficial relationship with the Traditional Owners.”

The agreement with the Gawler Ranges People reflects Lincoln’s commitment to transparency, mutual respect, and the recognition and protection of cultural heritage.

The Jungle Dam prospect is located about 45km north-east of Kimba and has demonstrated strong early exploration results.

Previous scout drilling returned uranium intersections of up to 570 parts per million and new reinterpretations of historic gravity data, alongside new datasets released from the SA Government last year.

The updated geological understanding has accelerated drill targeting work, bringing Lincoln closer to launching a formal drilling program.

The company’s exploration history at Jungle Dam dates back to 2007 when it first identified greenfields uranium mineralisation.

Ongoing exploration has since defined two mineralised zones, including a 250m-wide primary zone extending 400m along strike, with broader potential across a 2.5km corridor.

The identification of françoisite-(Ce) within the mineralised zone also suggests the presence of uraninite and coffinite.
