Connected expands Pallingup

Connected Minerals has expanded its Pallingup project in Western Australia’s Great Southern region to approximately 88km², following the submission of a new tenement application.

The project, considered prospective for rare earth elements (REE) and heavy mineral sands (HMS), now includes one granted licence and one application covering a combined 16 sub-blocks.

Located around 100km northeast of Albany, the area is seen as a potential host for carbonatite-related REE mineralisation.

“Pallingup is an exciting greenfields project, which our geological team has determined from a proprietary TMI (total magnetic intensity) aeromagnetic survey dataset, appears to host up to two carbonatites which may have the potential to host REEs,” Connected Minerals managing director and chief executive officer Warrick Clent said.

With exploration limited by seasonal cropping in the region, Connected is currently negotiating land access agreements with local landowners in preparation for fieldwork commencing in January 2026.

“We are looking forward to getting our boots on the ground at Pallingup, following the conclusion of the cropping season at the end of 2025,” Clent said.

“As such, we have already commenced negotiations with local landowners to negotiate land access agreements to do so.”

Subject to securing land access, Connected plans to undertake its maiden exploration program in the next field season.

Meanwhile, results from a 160-sample rock chip campaign at Connected’s Civilisation Bore and Mt Genoa projects in the Pilbara have been returned and assessed.

Connected said it will continue to assess other opportunities that complement its current portfolio, as the results interpreted no significant anomalous results were obtained.
