Iltani Resources has continued to record broad, high-grade results from its infill drilling program at the Orient West prospect in north Queensland.
The silver and base metals explorer reported significant assay results from drillholes ORR073 to ORR077.
“Holes ORR073 to ORR077 have continued to deliver excellent results from our Orient West JORC infill drilling program and we continue to be excited by what we see, with results validating our belief that Orient is Australia’s largest and highest-grade known silver-indium deposit,” Iltani managing director Donald Garner said.
“ORR075 intersected 64m at 123.6 grams per tonne (g/t) silver equivalent (AgEq) from 4m downhole and was drilled 45 up-dip of the intersection of 76m at 118.5 g/t gold equivalent from 24min ORR070.”
A previous hole was drilled 100m down-dip at ORR073 and intersected several high-grade zones including 6m at 101.2g/t AgEq from 29m, and 7m at 227.6g/t AgEq from 140m, including 2m at 651.8g/t AgEq.
ORR075 was redrilled after encountering old workings in ORR074, delivered 64m at 123.6g/t AgEq from 4m downhole, that included standout intervals such as 16m at 240.5g/t AgEq from 8m, with 2m at 913.1g/t AgEq from 21m.
Drillholes ORR076 and ORR077 also confirmed strong mineralisation, including 15m at 116.6g/t AgEq from 141m in ORR076, and 6m at 251.7g/t AgEq from 95m in ORR077.
“Drilling continues at Orient, with both RC (reverse circulation) and diamond programs underway, and we will report further results through May and June as we work towards initial JORC resources for Orient West and East,” Garner said.
