Premier1 strikes high-grade gold

Premier1

Premier1 Lithium has confirmed multiple high-grade gold intercepts at its Yalgoo project in Western Australia.

This follows the completion of Premier1’s maiden reverse circulation (RC) drilling campaign at the Wadgingarra area.

Drilling targeted extensions to known mineralisation at the Olive Queen, Crescent, and Carlisle prospects, alongside first-pass exploration at Crescent East and west of Olive Queen.

Crescent South intersected 3m at 31.5 grams per tonne (g/t) gold from 97m (25GGRC001), including 1m at 91.9g/t gold.

Premier1 hit 10m at 3.1g/t gold from 19m at Carlisle, including 7m at 4.3g/t gold (25GGRC019), while also identifying a new mineralised system west of Olive Queen, intersecting 1m at 1.5g/t gold within 5m at 0.4g/t gold (25GGRC023).

“We are very pleased with the results from our maiden drilling program at Wadgingarra and the first in over 40 years,” Premier1 managing director Jason Froud said.

“The drilling has delivered some of the highest-grade intercepts recorded on the project to date.

“The confirmation of high-grade gold at Carlisle, including 7m at 4.3g/t gold, highlights the untapped potential of historically overlooked areas, while the intercept of 3m at 31.5g/t gold at Crescent South demonstrates the potential for high-grade gold along trend from known mineralisation.”

Premier1 believes the refined geological model at Carlisle, pointing to a north-dipping, east-west striking mineralised structure, presents an entirely untested corridor.

Meanwhile, the north–south structure at Crescent South, supported by geophysical data, extends 7km south and remains untested.

“Importantly, the identification of a previously unrecognised target area west of Olive Queen, along with associated pathfinder element anomalism, opens a new exploration front,” Froud said.

“These results underscore the effectiveness of our integrated exploration approach and support our belief that Wadgingarra has significant potential to host multiple gold-bearing structures.”
