Premier1 identifies new high-priority gold targets

Premier1 Lithium has unveiled multiple new high-priority gold and base metal targets at its Yalgoo project in Western Australia.

This follows a comprehensive regional structural and litho-structural study, with the new targets located at the Mt Kersey and Central Block prospects.

Premier1 used exploration technology such as high-resolution drone magnetic geophysics, detailed geological mapping and multi-element geochemical sampling.

Highlights from Mt Kersey include a strong 2km-long soil anomaly and high-grade rock chip results of 26.4 grams per tonne (g/t) and 14.2g/t gold.

“We are extremely encouraged by the results of this comprehensive litho-structural study, which has significantly enhanced our understanding of the Yalgoo project’s mineral potential,” Premier1 managing director Jason Froud said.

“The identification of further high-priority targets across Mt Kersey and the Central Block is another major step forward in our exploration strategy.”

A gold-in-soil anomaly and strong and coincident gold pathfinder anomalies such as tellurium and bismuth extend over a 2km strike length, correlating with known gold mineralisation across the region.

Recent rock chip sampling returned standout results, including 26.4g/t gold from sample 25GGR054 and 14.2g/t gold from 25GGR055. Further sampling is planned to refine drill targets for the second half of 2025.

At the Central Block prospect, the company has identified signatures consistent with volcanogenic massive sulphide (VHMS)-style mineralisation.

The area lies between the Mougooderra shear zone and the Wadgingarra gabbro, with soil and rock chip sampling showing base metal anomalies and associated pathfinder elements.

“These findings support our view that the Yalgoo region remains underexplored and highly prospective for gold and base metals, and we have only just scratched the surface,” Froud said.

“We look forward to advancing these targets in the near term.”
