AIMEX partners with Austmine for 2025 event

AIMEX Austmine

The inaugural Adelaide event of Asia-Pacific’s International Mining Exhibition (AIMEX) will be backed by Austmine, a leading not-for-profit industry association for the Australian mining equipment, technology and services (METS) sector.

Prime Creative Media general manager – events Siobhan Rocks said the team is thrilled to welcome Austmine to AIMEX as a valued association partner for the 2025 event.

“Prime Creative Media has worked closely with Austmine for years, with a joint vision to bolster the industry and those who work in it,” Rocks said.

“We’re excited to extend our partnership to include AIMEX, but also we’re looking forward to supporting Austmine in the delivery of its own South Australian event.”

Known colloquially as the ‘festival state’, South Australia has been steadily adding more events to its roster, most recently making a name for itself as the new home of resources events.

In October 2024, South Australia made history with a successful bid which saw Australia’s longest-running mining event leave NSW to call Adelaide home.

For the next 10 years, AIMEX will attract thousands of domestic and international delegates to the city, offering unmatchable opportunities to connect with Australia’s largest community of mining suppliers and professionals.

Alongside the expanded floorplan, AIMEX will deliver a thought-leading, comprehensive conference speaker program across three conference stages, creating an environment that stimulates innovation and collaboration.

Across the three-days, industry experts will share insight on the overarching themes and trending topics and challenges affecting the industry across the Asia-Pacific region.

Adding to the state’s impressive exhibition offerings, South Australia is also the home to Austmine’s Copper to the World conference.

Held in partnership with the South Australian Government, Copper to the World 2025 will welcome local and international delegates, offering a platform for the global mining industry to connect, collaborate, and explore the future of copper.

With copper’s wide-ranging use in renewable energy, sustainable development, electric vehicles and the energy transition, alongside the predicted shortfalls in future supply, the event will feature dynamic panel discussions, innovation sessions displaying the latest industry-shaping advancements, and networking opportunities, bringing together decision-makers, innovators, and suppliers.

Austmine director of membership, marketing and events Vanessa Haberland said the organisation is looking forward to partnering with Prime Creative Media in delivering AIMEX.

“Austmine has worked alongside Prime Creative Media for many years, with a shared commitment to strengthening the METS sector and driving innovation in mining,” Haberland said.

“We are excited to support AIMEX in its new Adelaide home, welcome everyone back for Copper to the World 2025, and work together to create valuable opportunities for mining suppliers, innovators, and industry leaders to connect, collaborate, and showcase world-class solutions.”

Austmine’s Copper to the World will be held at Adelaide Convention Centre on August 26–27 2025.

Asia-Pacific’s International Mining Exhibition will take place from September 23–25 2025 at the Adelaide Showground. To get involved, visit the AIMEX website.
