Lincoln uncovers sulphide-rich system at Minbrie

Lincoln Minerals has found multiple sulphide-rich zones extending over a 7km strike length at its Minbrie copper and base metals project on South Australia’s Eyre Peninsula.

“Our initial analyses of the historic drill holes at Minbrie have already delivered exciting results, identifying a 7km mineralised target zone,” Lincoln chief executive officer Jonathon Trewartha said.

“Re-examining historic drill holes from Centrex’s 2011 program continues to uncover significant potential and we are focused on refining high-priority drill targets in this highly prospective base metals region of South Australia.”

Detailed analysis of historical drilling data revealed that 85 per cent of previous holes did not reach the target depth. Of those that did, only 16 per cent of footwall sequence was assayed for base metals, indicating considerable untapped potential.

Notably, re-evaluation of discovery hole BUDD192, which intersected 29.5m at 0.8 per cent copper, 7.5 per cent lead, 1.9 per cent zinc, and 9g/t silver from 131.1m, has identified the potential for significant mineralisation along strike.

Other results from Centrex’s 2011 drill program along strike from BUDD192 include 3m at 0.2 per cent lead and 0.4 per cent zinc and 8m at 0.1 per cent lead and 0.4 per cent zinc from drillhole BURCD020A, which included 2m at 0.3 per cent lead and 1.4 per cent zinc.

Lincoln plans to analyse for gold, silver, and high-value critical minerals, including gallium, germanium, and rare earth elements, to further enhance Minbrie’s value.

In its recent investor presentation, Lincoln Minerals highlighted its commitment to advancing critical mineral projects within South Australia’s Gawler Craton.

The company is actively pursuing regulatory and land access approvals in preparation for a follow-up drilling program at Minbrie.

This initiative aligns with Lincoln’s broader strategy to capitalise on the region’s rich mineral potential and contribute to the supply of essential minerals.

As the company continues to test previously unassayed core samples, it aims to identify further exploration targets, reinforcing the Minbrie project’s potential as a district-scale mineralised system.
