Connected targets maiden drilling at Swakopmund

High-priority drill targets have been confirmed by Connected Minerals (CML) at its Swakopmund uranium project in Namibia, following a horizontal-loop electromagnetic (HLEM) survey.

The survey was able to discover significant paleochannel structures, particularly along four key lines, with Line 1 returning the strongest results, revealing a paleochannel 600m wide with a maximum depth of 18m.

“We are encouraged by the results from the HLEM survey at our Swakopmund project, announced less than two weeks after the granting of EPL 9162,” Connnected managing director and chief executive officer Warrick Clent said.

“Our aggressive exploration strategy in Namibia, following our readmission to the ASX in late 2024, is already delivering promising results, with this survey confirming paleochannels within the licence area.”

The survey was conducted over six lines and approximately 13-line kilometres, successfully mapped multiple paleochannels, with the most notable occurring along Lines 1, 2, 3, and 6.

With these findings, Connected’s consulting geophysicist has recommended drill testing of the deepest paleochannels identified in the survey.

In response, the company has already begun planning its maiden drilling program at Swakopmund, expected to commence in the second quarter of 2025.

Swakopmund is Connected’s second exploration licence in Namibia, complementing its Etango North-East project, where a maiden sampling program has already delivered high-grade uranium mineralisation.

“Together, these projects provide CML with considerable potential to discover a significant uranium deposit within a region renowned for world-class projects,” Clent said.
