High-grade gold discovered at Yalgoo

Premier1 has unearthed several high-grade gold samples at its Yalgoo project in Western Australia during a first-pass geological mapping and sampling program.

The program returned impressive gold grades from both previously untested areas and existing mineralised trends across several prospects, with highlights including:

  • Crescent East: 128.5 grams per tonne (g/t) gold and 78.9g/t
  • Bourkes United: 106.6g/t
  • Olive Queen South: 54.8g/t
  • Mulloo Hill: 18.1g/t

Premier 1 managing director Jason Froud said the results emphasise the project’s high-grade potential.

“Whilst high gold grade results were returned from the known mineralised trends at Olive Queen, Bourkes United, and Broken Mount, it is important to note that many samples are from previously untested areas,” Froud said.

“This includes a new mineralised trend 500m east of the Crescent prospect with grades up to 128g/t, and at Mulloo Hill, with grades up to 18.1g/t. Mulloo Hill, approximately 15km south of the Crescent/Wadgingarra area, presents an entirely new, greenfield target.”

The company collected 168 rock chip samples during the campaign, focusing on understanding the structural and geological context of mineralisation.

Data from these samples, integrated with recent geophysical and historical drilling data, will guide future exploration and drill targeting.

One of the standout prospects, Crescent East, revealed gold-bearing quartz veining with an untested surface anomaly extending over 500m.

Additionally, Mulloo Hill, a greenfield discovery, has been highlighted as a priority target due to its quartz veining within altered felsic intrusive rocks.

A drilling campaign targeting the Wadgingarra area is slated to commence in the first quarter of 2025, pending heritage clearance from the Yamatji Southern Regional Corporation.

“These results highlight the underexplored nature of the project area and its broader prospectivity, providing compelling targets for future exploration,” Froud said.

Premier1 plans to further assess the Yalgoo project with additional geophysical surveys and detailed mapping.
