VHM has appointed Colin Moorhead as non-executive director. Moorhead is an experienced industry executive with a demonstrated track record of developing value in mining companies through innovation, discovery, project development, and safe, efficient operations.
Moorhead was previously responsible for global exploration and resource development at Newcrest from 2008–2015, a company he worked with for over twenty years. He then became chief executive officer of emerging Indonesian-listed producer PT Merdeka Copper Gold. In this role, Moorhead led the team responsible for the construction and commissioning of the Tujuh Bukit gold mine, which proved to be a highly successful asset.
“The company is pleased to have someone of Colin’s calibre on board as a non-executive director,” VHM non-executive chair Ian Smith said.
“Colin’s extensive experience in delivering value through development and growth for mining companies will further strengthen our board capability as we transition VHM into a rare earth developer and producer.”

Western Yilgarn has appointed Craig Moulton as managing consultant to lead and implement the company’s next phase of exploration and growth.
Moulton has over 30 years of experience in the global exploration and mining industry, and brings with him an international network of contacts.
Moulton has worked in senior management roles on Tier 1 deposits in major mining houses such as Rio Tinto, Hamersley Iron, Pilbara Iron and Cleveland Cliffs.
He also has a range of corporate experience leading junior exploration companies such as Cobra Resources, Nickel Search and Northam Resources.
Moulton said it was an exciting time to join Western Yilgarn, as the company unlocks significant value for shareholders at its Ida Holmes, Julimar West and Boodanoo projects.

“I look forward to being part of that journey.”
