Iron ore doyen David Flanagan has taken on the top job at Arrow Minerals after serving as a part-time consultant at the company.

Flanagan’s appointment as managing director coincides with Jeff Dowling becoming Arrow non-executive chair, Tommy McKeith moving from executive chair to non-executive director and Frazer Tabeart resigning as non-executive director.

“Arrow has an exceptional opportunity at Simandou North and these board changes will ensure we maximise our ability to unlock it,” McKeith said.

“David’s skills and extensive experience in the iron ore business will be invaluable as we implement our strategy to establish a significant iron ore inventory at Simandou North, which will in turn position us to utilise the huge rail infrastructure being developed by our neighbours at Simandou.”

Crawford’s resignation comes after Luke Mortimer was promoted from Kalamazoo’s exploration manager to chief executive officer (CEO) in January. This coincided with Kalamazoo co-founder Luke Reinehr moving into the executive chair role.
