Flynn Gold establishing itself in Tasmania

Flynn Gold continues to bolster its Golden Ridge project in Tasmania, after fresh drilling at the Trafalgar prospect returned high-grade intersections.

Trafalgar’s maiden diamond drill hole, TFDD002, hit 4.3m at 4.34 grams per tonne (g/t) gold from 594.7m. Within that was a 2.05m intersection at 7.28g/t gold and a 17.3g/t gold hit.

TFDD002 also returned 9m at 2.28g/t gold from 289m, including 5.7m at 3.46g/t gold and a 12.7g/t gold hit.

This follows on from a July announcement, where Flynn Gold intersected 5.4m at 10.63g/t gold from 160.1m at TFDD002. This included a 0.4m hit at 52.2g/t gold.

“This maiden drill hole at the Trafalgar prospect has delivered an excellent outcome for Flynn Gold, with the company intersecting multiple zones of high-grade gold,” Flynn Gold chief executive officer Neil Marston said.

“Historical drilling had only intersected one gold zone below the old Trafalgar mine workings, so the discovery of these new highly mineralised structures increases the potential of this prospect.”

Marston said Trafalgar is the first location at Golden Ridge where the intrusive-hornfels contact has been drill tested since Flynn Gold listed in 2021.

“This geological contact has been identified over an 8km strike length, providing the exploration team with confidence that the Golden Ridge project has the potential to become a significant gold system,” he said.

The TFDD002 diamond hole is designed to target extensions to an historical intercept of 5m at 12.56g/t gold, while providing further information on the mineralisation system at Trafalgar.

Flynn Gold is completing subsequent drilling to test for extensions to the gold mineralisation discovered in drill holes TFD001 and TFDD002 over a strike length of 250m.

This includes wedge hole TFDD002B – which was drilled off TFDD002 from a depth of 123m down hole and was completed to a depth of 420.6m. Other drill holes include TFDD003 and TFDD004.
